3月26日，星期六，位于市神火大道中段西侧的《念奴娇·追思焦裕禄》文化创意（商丘）基地，像往常一样宁静。中午12时，在此加班的某公司经理李某，在一楼大厅陪朋友喝茶，突然闯进来八九个彪形大汉，其中一位留着茶壶盖头的胖子高声问道：“谁是李某？段某派我们来的！”胖子说着，便拿出一张段某开具的授权书让李某看。李某伸手去接，他又缩回。李某说：“段某和郑州公司欠我单位的款已一年之久，官司正在法院诉讼中，你们无权干涉。”这时，来人中的一个人急忙去拉室内监控的电闸。胖子骂骂咧咧，示意在李某身后的5个人同时袭击李某的头部、胸部，致使李某身体多处受伤，呼吸困难，左眼肿胀，难以闭合。在吵闹中，四五个人架起李某就走。

13时30分，正在外地出差的市公安局副局长汪东升得知案情后，当即派刑警前去解救，并指示在多个路口布控。5分钟后，4名刑警赶到《念奴娇·追思焦裕禄》文化创意（商丘）基地楼下。经过调查了解，民警掌握了犯罪嫌疑人的行踪及受害人所处的位置。随后，市公安局又调集多名警力，一举将准备实施绑架后把受害人劫持到外地的5名犯罪嫌疑人抓获。民警在解救现场看到，绑架者正在对受害人进行人体摧残，写下的欠款条和承诺书草稿还没有来得及销毁。
经初步认定，这是一起有计划、有预谋的涉黑案件，犯罪嫌疑人分别来自江苏徐州、河南周口等地，系具有黑社会性质的犯罪团伙。副市长、市公安局局长许大刚得知案情后十分重视，听取了案情汇报，明确表示：“决不允许黑恶势力在商丘横行。”
目前，案件正在进一步审理中。
