2010年5月18日，法院一审判决：黄光裕犯非法经营罪判处有期徒刑八年，并处没收个人部分财产人民币2亿元；犯内幕交易罪判处有期徒刑九年，并处罚金人民币6亿元；犯单位行贿罪判处有期徒刑二年。数罪并罚，决定执行有期徒刑十四年，并处罚金人民币6亿元，没收个人财产人民币2亿元。
2010年8月30日，北京市高级人民法院二审裁定：对黄光裕维持一审判决。
2012年10月，黄光裕获减刑10个月。
2015年12月，北京市第二监狱提出，罪犯黄光裕在服刑期间，能认罪悔罪，遵守监规纪律，积极参加学习和劳动，二次获得监狱改造积极分子奖励，建议减刑。
北京市人民检察院第三分院当庭发表检察意见，同意北京市第二监狱所提减刑意见。
经审理查明，罪犯黄光裕在刑罚执行期间，能认罪悔罪，认真遵守法律法规及监规，接受教育改造，积极参加思想、文化、技术学习，按时完成劳动任务。该犯自2012年1月至2012年9月末，累计有效积分达到62分，评定奖励时管理级别为二级严管，获监狱改造积极分子奖励；该犯自2012年10月至2013年5月末，累计有效积分达到65分，评定奖励时管理级别为普管，获监狱改造积极分子奖励。

北京二中院5月31日裁定，对黄光裕减去有期徒刑11个月。减刑后，其应执行刑期至2021年2月26日。
