黄德意的落马缘于群众的集中举报，而举报内容则是凤山县原县委书记、河池市副市长黄德意“花5千万画了两只鸟”。而举报中所提到的两只鸟则是在出入凤山县城山壁上雕刻的“凤凰壁画”。
根据图片显示，这两只火红的凤凰鸟雕刻并不算十分精美，浮雕几乎占据了一整面山丘，除此之外，并无其他装饰，而这样一幅雕塑却价值5千万。
但最终因为这幅惹人眼球的凤凰壁画，牵出了黄德意贪腐案。
2014年9月30日，时任河池市副市长的黄德意在大化县主持召开农业工作现场会，刚作完报告便被自治区纪委干部“请”上了“专车”。
同年10月8日，广西纪委发布消息称，在中央第一巡视组的指导下，经自治区党委同意，自治区纪委对河池市副市长黄德意涉嫌严重违纪问题进行组织调查。

随后巡视组对黄德意进行调查，发现其擅自做主动用国家防治地质灾害资金5350万元，在出入县城的山壁上雕刻“凤凰壁画”，花费相当于县财政年收入的一半还多，但壁画项目实际造价仅200多万元。
2008年凤山县曾发生过一次山体崩塌地质灾害，致使凤巴公路中断，16间房屋被掩埋，造成5人死亡、6人受伤、1人失踪。事故原因既有当地喀斯特地貌的地质结构因素，也有水土流失、岩石风化的原因。国家随后下拨专项资金，做好防灾减灾工作。而当时正是黄德意主政凤山县期间。

字画最受“雅虎”青睐，有官员收藏近亿元字画
重庆晨报－上游新闻记者梳理发现，一些落马官员曾甚至涉足文化圈，伸手艺术品，装扮成“文艺范儿”，打着“雅好”的名义，实则为“雅贿”。
诸多“雅好”中，字画是最受青睐。
针对“雅贿”，中纪委也曾多次发文，在2015年初，《中国纪检监察报》曾发文《雅贿难掩贪欲》称，领导有雅好并非坏事，只要能守住公与私的边界，雅好可以丰富业余生活、修身养性、提升道德情操；可怕的是由“好”而“贪”、由“雅”而“腐”，越过了公与私的边界，打着雅好的旗号，公权私用、以权谋私，最终滑倒在雅贿面前。
海南省原副省长谭力就是其中一位。此前新华社报道称，刘汉（原为四川汉龙集团董事局主席）前妻杨雪曾交代，刘汉不惜用重金大肆结交官员。“刘汉会带我一起跟他们吃饭，向他们赠送黄金、翡翠等贵重物品，价值几十万甚至几百万。”杨雪交代的官员中就包括谭力。而刘汉送礼也会投其所好。因为谭力喜欢古玩、字画，他办事一般不直接收钱，只接受“雅贿”。
同样爱好字画的，还有江苏常州原市委常委、政法委书记孙国建。据媒体报道，孙国建受贿金额共计80万多元，其中，光字画的价值就达52万多元。
此外，河南省南阳市原纪委常委谢先莹“收藏”近亿元名人字画。早前媒体报道称，谢先莹拥有诸多名人字画，其中有的市场价值近亿元。
关于这些字画的来历，谢先莹本人说是当时“感情投资所获取”，自己拿些小磨香油、土鸡蛋、香菇木耳之类的土特产去拜访一些大书画家，对方就给画幅字画。此言一出，网络沸腾，网友纷纷吐糟也想拿诸如此类的土特产去换价值不菲的名人字画，更有网友干脆直接骂谢先莹是贪官并呼吁有关部门赶快逮捕法办。
落马官员“雅腐”，有人变身“壶哥”“玉王”
还有一些“雅贿”比较小众，比如玉器、奇石等。
例如安徽省原副省长倪发科，被媒体曝出爱玉成性，官员送上的好玉，他几乎都来者不拒，倪发科也因此被称为“玉王”。
而在倪发科的忏悔书中，他说，“由于自己客观上在省政府分管国土资源工作，又出于在六安老区工作十年的这份感情，开始帮助了六安霍山县和金寨县开发玉矿资源和加工玉器产业，大量接触到了玉石、玉器，并开始研究钻研玉石。由于工作的关系我又结识了省内外一些玉石专家和玉石、玉器爱好者，能有机会请教和参加一些活动交流，我从开始的搜集一般玉石和矿石标本，到收藏省内外的一些玉石、玉器和奇石，直至爱上玉文化，痴迷上玉石、玉器，到了爱不释手、不能自拔、玩物丧志的境地。”并表示在其法院指控的1300多万元的受贿总额中，有70%都是玉石、玉器和奇石。

落马官员附庸风雅的形式十分多样，江西省峡江县原县委书记宋铜的爱好就较为特别，他以支付紫砂壶款等名义收受钱款逾千万元，被媒体称为“壶哥”。
去年11月16日，江西省鹰潭市中院对峡江县原县委书记宋铜受贿一案进行一审宣判，最终，宋铜因受贿罪被判处有期徒刑十五年。
法院审理查明，2006年至2014年，爱好收藏紫砂壶的被告人宋铜先后担任峡江县委副书记、峡江县人民政府副县长、县长、峡江县委书记，任职期间，宋铜利用职务上的便利，为他人在工程承揽、土地转让、工程审计、项目运作、资金拨付、人事任免等方面谋取利益，以支付购壶（紫砂壶）款、报销发票等名义收受或直接收受他人钱款共计人民币16285368元、价值澳门币201882元的金条三根。

针对诸多中形式的“雅腐”，中纪委曾发文称，“雅贿有其隐蔽性，比直接送真金白银、房产、汽车隐蔽得多，而且又附庸风雅，颇受一些贪官青睐。但再雅的贿也是贿，再优雅的腐败也是腐败，其实质仍是权钱交易。”
为保仕途，多个高官搞迷信做道场
落马官员中自诩有“雅好”的不在少数，但爱好封建迷信的官员也是一大阵营。
据媒体报道，2014年至今，中纪委官网纪律审查栏目通报党纪处分的党员领导干部中，共有7人涉封建迷信。其中党政领导干部6人，国企领导干部1人；若从行政级别上分，5人为省部级领导干部，2人为厅局级领导干部。
5名省部级包括：广东省原副省长刘志庚、武钢集团原董事长邓崎琳、宁夏自治区原副主席白雪山、四川省委原副书记李春城、国台办原副主任龚清概；2名厅局级是：辽宁省营口市人大常委会原副主任李思福、福建省厦门市原副市长李栋梁。
