According to hospital official Micro-Blog messages, academician, Chinese Academy of Sciences, nuclear medicine founder, Professor of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Department of nuclear medicine, Comrade Wang Shizhen, medical treatment failed because of illness, died on May 27, 2016 16:16, at the age of 100.


Public resume information show, Wang Shizhen was born on March 7, 1916, people in Fuzhou City, Fujian province, famous biochemist and founder of nuclear medicine, nuclear medicine, long-term commitment to scientific research, applications of nuclear medicine and education.

Wang Shizhen in 1950 in United States radiological Institute at the University of Iowa.

Wang Shizhen in 1938 and graduated from Tsinghua University and later United States master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Iowa. In 1951, after his return Wang Shizhen, served as Associate Professor of Peking Union Medical College, Professor, Deputy Director, Honorary Director of the Institute of radiation medicine, and Director of the academic Committee of State Key Laboratory of nuclear medicine. In 1980, Wang Shizhen was elected as an academician with Chinese Academy of Sciences (academician), 1998 to the fellows.


Were generally known as the "father of nuclear medicine in China," Wang Shizhen in the field of nuclear medicine studies set a number of records: he founded China's first isotope course set up China's first Center for isotope laboratory; the first isotope used in human trials; organization of nuclear medicine in China, as the first Chairman of; founded Chinese Journal of nuclear medicine, editor in Chief of the first, and so on.


According to the China scientific journal reported in 2013, in the view of Wang Shizhen, one of the most difficult tasks belong to non-founded isotope training course.

Isotope technology are core elements of nuclear medicine, isotope training as the first step in China's development of nuclear medicine. “中国核医学之父”王世真逝世 享年100岁

  据北京协和医院官方微博消息,中国科学院院士、中国核医学奠基人、北京协和医院核医学科教授王世真同志,因病医治无效,于2016年5月27日16时16分去世,享年100岁。


  公开简历信息显示,王世真生于1916年3月7日,福建省福州市人,著名生物化学家、核医学家、中国核医学事业的创始人,长期致力于原子核医学的科学研究、应用和教育工作。

王世真1950年在美国爱荷华大学放射性研究所。

  王世真1938年毕业于清华大学,后获美国爱荷华大学硕士及博士学位。1951年,王世真回国后,历任北京协和医学院副教授、教授,放射医学研究所副所长、名誉所长,核医学国家重点实验室学术委员会主任等职。1980年,王世真当选为中国科学院学部委员(院士),1998年转为资深院士。


  被学界尊称为“中国核医学之父”的王世真在核医学研究领域创下多项记录:他创办了中国第一个同位素训练班;建立了中国第一个同位素中心实验室;第一个将同位素应用于人体试验;筹办中国核医学会,任首届理事长;创办中华核医学杂志,任首届总编辑等等。


  据《中国科学报》2013年报道,在王世真看来,其中最为艰难的工作非创办同位素训练班莫属。


  “没有方法、没有技术、没有仪器设备,一切都要从零开始,全部依靠自己创造。”王世真说,没有一件事情是容易的。同位素技术是核医学领域的核心内容,办同位素训练班,成为中国核医学发展的第一步。正是在这个训练班里,诞生了中国第一批放射性同位素测试仪,研制出第一批放射性标记物,完成了第一批显影实验,培养了第一批从事核医学研究的专业人员。


  当时,全中国几乎所有的同位素医学应用技术和方法,都是在王世真的主持和倡导下创建,并向全国普及推广的。


  1987年,王世真在联合国国际原子能机构会议上,作了中国核医学的现状和发展规划的报告。翌年,国际核医学大会在北京召开,成为中国核医学研究走向世界的里程碑。


  “青出于蓝,质重于量。这是我们这些超龄服役老兵的唯一愿望。”据《中国科学报》报道,王世真曾在他给研究生开设的课程中如此开场。
