另一方面,三星公司的美国专利总数超过12万件,而华为公司仅拥有9800余件美国专利,后者在专利数量上看似并不拥有胜算,但是华为尤其强调三星侵犯其“与4G行业标准有关的11项专利”,意图明显,在4G向5G的过渡期,华为也在争夺下一代通信标准的霸主地位。

而如果从三星此前的发展历程和近况来分析,华为的这场起诉只是一个开始,三星的“霸主”地位,正在面临前所未有的挑战。

“刚刚好”背后的深层危机

如果跟自己比,三星的确可以继续躺在功劳簿上。在今年的一季度财报中,因旗舰智能手机Galaxy S7出货强劲,三星移动部门利润涨幅达42%,成为了三星电子的第一收入来源。

但如果来横向比较一下,就会发现,三星并没能摆脱对单一明星产品的出货依赖,纵使旗舰出货量再多,也依然扭转不了其增速已落后于全行业,甚至出货量和市场份额同时出现负增长的事实。

来自IDC的数据显示,今年一季度全球智能手机出货量3.349亿部,同比增长0.2%,三星的出货量却同比下降了0.6个百分点,从8240万部下降至8190万部,市场份额也从去年同期的24.6%降至24.5%。

反观异军突起得中国企业,华为的市场份额同比增长了3个百分点,OPPO和Vivo也同比增长了3.3%和2.4%,后两者的出货量更是同比增长超过153.2%和123.8%。

在出货量占据全球1/3的第一大智能机市场中国,三星的市场份额更是已滑落前五,不再榜上有名。

此时推出专门针对中国市场的C系列,也就不难理解。

“以往,我们都是通过科技创新,来创造需求,引领消费。这次,我们是在做好这些的前提下,来重点做好需求的满足,也可以说是一种针对中国消费者重点需求和体验的供给侧改革”。发布会现场,三星电子大中华区产品战略与研发总裁王彤先生如是说。

然而,这款“全方位适用于中国人使用习惯”的手机,绝不像是它口中热情洋溢的特色——各方面都“刚刚好”,更像是一种妥协。

在华为主攻照相、OPPO、Vivo主攻音乐、小米深耕软件优化的中国市场,这种完全随大流的“金属一体化机身+本土化UI设计”,红包助手、双微信、表情包……每款功能都“刚刚好”,恰恰是没有任何亮点的体现。

况且,算上C系列,三星已经拥有多条产品线:旗舰机Galaxy S系列和Galaxy Note系列、定位中低端的Galaxy J和Galaxy On系列、定位于年轻人的Galaxy A系列以及各种复杂的定制机系列型号。每款产品的命名都没有任何规律,以至于让人很难记住。

三星移动部门七个季度以来首次超过芯片部门,成为了三星电子的第一收入来源之后,它对于三星的成败来说显得至关重要。而它表面的高调和潜伏的压力,无疑被华为一纸诉讼摆在了台面上。

当然,同时带出的,还有三星电子背后更为深重的危机。

树敌众多:华为只是个开始

“大树之下,寸草不生”——用这句话来概括“霸主”三星最恰当不过。

除了消费电子产品,三星在诸如电视面板、手机芯片、半导体等的核心零部件领域的垂直整合能力,一向令人叹为观止。

你当然可以认为这是三星强大的技术创新实力所在,但也别忽略了这个行业老大的另一面:倚靠政府的强大支撑,在其最擅长的领域穷尽各种手段,打压对手。甚至在业界有不少竞争对手抱怨,有三星在,就没有中小企业生存的机会。

算算这些年被三星搞定的企业,不在少数。

2008年国际金融危机爆发时,三星和另一家韩国本土企业LG曾联手打压台湾地区电子企业奇美(鸿海子公司)与友达,在后两者最需要订单时大幅撤单,致使台湾地区面板业损失惨重,奇美当年10月出货量锐减四成,而三星却顺势夺下约24.5%面板市场份额。

紧接着,一年后,正值大陆推行家电下乡,三星又突然向台湾面板业抛出2008年8月以来最大规模的中小尺寸面板订单,使得我国大陆整机厂商陷于面板缺货窘境,为三星的面板和整机铺路。

除了这种倾销式打压,三星还不惜以近乎自杀的行为,打垮比自己弱小的竞争对手。比如在DRAM存储芯片领域,三星不惜拼得自身亏损,也要砸下巨额,压低价格将竞争对手逼上绝路,致使全球第二大DRAM公司德国奇梦达(Qimonda AG)因大幅亏损宣布破产保护。

商场如战场,打压竞争对手也无可厚非,但三星这种四处树敌得行为,早已引发众多同行的不满。华为的正面对抗,只是掀开反击序幕的案例之一。

就在不久前,富士康得母公司鸿海还成功阻击三星,完成对夏普的收购,从实质上给予三星巨大的打击。要知道,鸿海董事长郭台铭一向将三星描述为“总是对竞争对手背后捅刀”的小人,并宣称打败这家韩国公司是他的终身目标。这家世界级代工厂与“液晶面板之父”夏普的结合,也给人留下很多想象空间。

现如今,陷入对手竞争、分拆压力的三星,已经不是当初那个谁都拿它没辙的巨头了。当初带领三星一路走来的前会长李健熙曾经说过,“危机总是在你自认为第一的时候降临”。这句话,现在落到了三星的头上。
