另外王翔还透露，此次购买了微软1500多项非常高质量的专利，这些专利包括无线通信、云计算、多媒体等等领域，并且在合作中还进行了一些交叉许可协议，也就是说小米也将自己的一些专利授权给微软，这其中包括了多媒体、照相遗迹OS等方面。
王翔还表示，小米和微软可以说在专利流氓这个问题上达成了共识，也会针对这方面进行全面的合作，对付专利流氓。但王翔并未透露关于小米手机登陆美国方面的信息，看来还是非常谨慎。
