接警后，广西壮族自治区河池市东兰县公安局东院派出所民警立即到现场进行处置，民警到达现场后，发现该男子驾驶一辆小轿车在街道上冲撞路边的行人及车辆，民警命令该男子停车，该男子不听劝阻，继续横冲直撞，民警鸣枪示警无效后，开枪击中该男子的手臂。
目前，嫌疑人已被控制并送往县人民医院救治，无生命危险。该事件造成一名群众受伤，以及街道周边几个摊位和10余辆摩托车不同程度的损坏，受伤群众已送到县人民医院治疗，无生命危险。
据初步了解，嫌疑人韦某，男，河池市金城江区人。目前，该案件还在进一步调查中。
