2015年，全国338个地级以上城市全部开展空气质量新标准监测。监测标准包括细颗粒物（PM2.5）、可吸入颗粒物（PM10）、二氧化硫（SO2）、二氧化氮（NO2）、一氧化碳（CO）、臭氧（O3）8小时浓度限值监测指标。

无论是一线城市、二线城市还是三线城市，在雾霾几乎已经席卷各大城市的时候，为什么这6个城市能够幸免呢？
北京公众环境研究中心主任马军向《每日经济新闻》记者介绍，这些地区基本上都是地广人稀，没有大量工业排放，没有很多工业的特点是比较突出的，有些在林区，靠近雪山，生态条件比较好，都是以旅游产业为主。
以马尔康为例，藏语意为"火苗旺盛的地方"，引申为"兴旺发达之地"。马尔康市位于青藏高原南缘、四川盆地西北部，全市幅员面积6633平方公里，常住人口6万人左右，其主要的产业为农牧业和旅游业。
几乎同样大小，面积6597平方公里的南京市，人口超过800万人，除了是全国风景旅游重点城市外，南京还有很多个头衔，包括：是全国重要的综合性工业生产基地，已形成电子信息、石油化工、汽车制造、钢铁为支柱，以软件和服务外包、智能电网、风电光伏、轨道交通等新兴产业为支撑，先进制造业和现代服务协调发展的产业格局。

小张夫妇在某大城市有各自不错的工作和稳定可观的收入，2013年，他们突然辞去工作，在丽江景区盘下一间不大的旅馆，过起了与城市隔绝的生活。
小张对《每日经济新闻》记者说，城市快节奏的工作和空气污染，让自己感觉到厌倦了，所以和爱人商量拿出积蓄选择在环境好的地方盘下一间旅店，并不是为了赚钱，想过这种半隐居的生活。
早在2004年，丽江市就制定了《丽江市2004~2020旅游业发展的远景规划》，到2020年，丽江旅游总收入比2010年翻一番，达到160亿元人民币，占全市国民生产总值的60%，成为丽江市国民经济的重要支柱，从而实现旅游强市的目标。
与丽江相同的是，马尔康、香格里拉等城市都在主打"旅游城市"的名片。
马军认为，希望这些空气质量全年达标的城市能够继续保持，绿水青山也可以变成金山银山。
"好的空气质量可以给当地带来更多的发展机会，毕竟现在好空气太难得了，已经变成稀缺的资源了，未来他们的吸引力会越来越显著，吸引更多的人和发展机遇。"马军说。
