China and close coordination on macro-economic policies and jointly promote the steady growth of the world economy. Bilateral trade, two-way investment has been at a record high. On climate change, the two countries and their armed forces, counter-terrorism, law enforcement, progress was made in exchanges and cooperation in the fields of, and the Korean peninsula nuclear, Iran nuclear, Afghanistan, and Syria, peacekeeping and other major international and regional issues for effective communication and coordination. Unprecedented dynamic Sino-US cultural exchanges, cooperation, personnel exchanges reaching nearly 5 million visitors last year. The cooperation has brought tangible benefits to the two peoples, and also promote peace, stability and development in the Asia-Pacific region and the world.

Zheng Zeguang, hoped that the two sides work together to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of State, strengthen strategic communication, and actively promote cooperation, and properly handle their differences and push forward along the track of healthy and stable development of Sino-US relations. The next few days, we are willing to work with the US side to jointly promote the eighth round of the China-us strategic and economic dialogue, the seventh round of high-level consultations on Sino-American cultural exchange as many positive results.

　　2016年6月2日，外交部副部长郑泽光在外交部蓝厅论坛就即将在北京举行的第八轮中美战略与经济对话向中外媒体吹风时，就中美关系回答了记者提问。

　　有记者问，今年以来，中美关系出现不少新变化，分歧和摩擦比以前突出。美军方一位高级官员近日甚至声称中国是美国的威胁。请问，你如何看待上述现象，如何评价当前的中美关系？

　　郑泽光说，美国国内在对华政策上确有不同声音，个别人把中国称作威胁、鼓吹对华采取强硬政策。首先，美国主流民意是支持中美加强合作的。那些把中国称作威胁的人，有的可能不了解中国，有的是用冷战期间的老眼光看待今天的世界，有的可能出于个人的政治目的。他们的言论脱离现实，违背中美两国人民的根本利益和时代潮流，不能代表美国主流民意。中国的发展不会威胁任何国家，只会给世界各国带来更多机遇。希望美国内持上述观点的人正视现实，摆正心态，摒弃冷战思维，正确看待中国和中国的发展。

　　郑泽光说，作为世界上最大的发展中国家、最大的发达国家和前两大经济体，中美拥有广泛的共同利益，肩负着重要的责任，合作空间越来越广阔。中美合作可以造福两国和世界，中美对抗冲突只能是两国和世界的灾难。对于中美之间存在的分歧和不同看法，历史经验告诉我们，双方应在相互尊重、平等相待的基础上，坚持通过对话协商寻找解决办法，妥善加以管控。

　　郑泽光说，三年前，习近平主席同奥巴马总统在安纳伯格庄园举行了历史性的会晤，就共同构建中美新型大国关系达成重要共识。三年来，在这一共识引领下，中美在双边、地区、全球层面广泛领域开展合作，取得重要、积极成果。中美就宏观经济政策保持密切协调，共同推动世界经济稳定增长。双边贸易额、双向投资额连年创下新高。两国在气候变化、两军、反恐、执法等领域的交流合作取得新进展，并就朝鲜半岛核、伊朗核、阿富汗、叙利亚、维和等重大国际与地区问题进行了富有成效的沟通协调。中美人文交流、地方合作空前活跃，去年人员往来达到近500万人次。这些合作给两国人民带来了实实在在的利益，也有力地促进了亚太地区和世界的和平、稳定与发展。

　　郑泽光表示，希望中美双方一道努力，认真落实两国元首达成的重要共识，加强战略沟通，积极拓展合作，妥善处理分歧，推动中美关系沿着健康稳定的轨道向前发展。未来几天，我们愿与美方相向而行，共同推动第八轮中美战略与经济对话、第七轮中美人文交流高层磋商取得尽可能多的积极成果。
