　　这将是我省首次发现恐龙化石群。之前在我省九台曾经发现过一次恐龙化石，但数量少，此次发现是我省重大发现，填补了我省古地理、古环境和古生物研究的一项空白。

　　现场至少三处发现恐龙化石

　　昨日上午，在帽儿山上的恐龙化石发掘现场，中科院古脊椎动物与古人类研究所的专家们正在这里辛苦的工作。“你看，这应该是一块大腿骨，看样子里面应该还有更多。”一位专家指着一块颜色稍暗的地方和另一个专家研究着。

　　意义：填补我省研究空白

　　“以前南京古生物所和长春地质学院曾经做过延吉盆地的研究，确定这里的地质是白垩纪早期的地质，我们非常认可他们的成果，现在发现的恐龙化石至少是白垩纪早期的，这几天来看时期可能还要久远，或是侏罗纪时期的，距今一亿六千万年到一亿八千万年左右，这个发现是很重大的。”金昌柱说。

　　专家臧海龙表示，这次发现在学术圈内是一种震动，对研究延吉市乃至吉林省古地理、古环境、古生物的演化有重要意义，以前完全是空白，没有证据、资料来这说明，这次发现就填补了这个空白，有重要意义。另外延吉靠近朝鲜半岛，这次发现对整个朝鲜半岛古地理、古环境方面的研究也有重大意义。

　　专家们认为，更大的意义应该在于当地。因为从上世纪开始兴起恐龙热，我国先后建起了六个大型的以恐龙为主题的地质博物馆，都是在当地发现了恐龙化石群，依此而兴建，从而给当地带来了相当可观的收益。此次延吉发现这样大规模的恐龙化石群，将来如果能够依此建立一个大型的恐龙博物馆，无疑能够促进旅游业发展，给延吉带来收益。

　　揭秘：奇石爱好者发现化石

　　恐龙化石是怎么被发现的？这要感谢一位延吉市的奇石爱好者刘先生。昨天他也在恐龙化石发掘现场无偿帮助专家们发掘。刘先生说，他喜欢收藏各种石头，业余时间，上山寻找石头是他的一大爱好。恐龙化石就是前不久他在寻找奇石的过程中发现的。
