　　在介绍中国军队的情况时，孙建国介绍当前中国军队正在进行一场整体性、革命性的变革，并裁军30万。”中国军队目前相较世界先进军队差距较大，每个军人人均军费只有6万多美元，与美英法日等每个军人20-30万多美元相差甚远。所以中国军队必须推进改革、提高效益、加强建设，加快发展。中国高举和平、发展、合作、共赢的旗帜，始终奉行防御性国防政策。中国没有称霸的野心。改革后的中国军队，将提高自卫和防御能力，并为地区和国际和平与安全作出更多更好的贡献。
