军埔村500户家庭、总人口2800人,已经有350户、大约2000人投入网上销售活动,商品包装和分销都要靠自己完成。在订单如潮的时期,这是一项庞大的工作,几乎没有睡眠时间。

报道称,军埔村转产实际上是受到了广东城市年轻人的带动。这些不想被落在红火的互联网商务后面的年轻人在一开始从事电子商务时并不知道,他们引领了一个趋势,带动了全国涌现出200多个“淘宝村”。

“他们想远离广东大城市的压抑生活,节省成本,于是来到乡下。”李波说。

报道称,一些农村本地的年轻人也想加入到这个行业中,开办自己的电子商务公司。比如徐瑞斌(音),年仅18岁的他经营着一家互联网销售公司,去年销售额达到了1200万美元。

李波认为,中国庞大的农村人口是电子商务成功的一大秘诀。农村人只要有电脑和一部智能手机就可以加入城市同胞高涨的消费主义热情当中。

“对农村来说,电子商务是有利的,可以让农村人接触到境内外的各种商品,也能让自己的商品走出农村。”李波说。

报道称,但是也有一部分人不这样认为。一位来参观军埔村的年轻人认为,电子商务正在让实体店缓慢地走向死亡。“大家都到实体店去看样子,看上喜欢的回去到网上购买,这是不公平的”。
