而就在昨天，她又成为了辞官从商群体中的一员。在卸任人民日报社副秘书长后，她将和俞敏洪联手打造国内第一家体育产业创新创业平台。体育明星和官员的双重身份，让邓亚萍的每一步都备受社会关注。从级别变化的速度来看，邓亚萍无疑是同龄公务人员中的佼佼者。放在体制内的评价体系之中，我们大可以将她作为一个曾经“政坛新星”来解读。

去年年底，邓亚萍重回公众视野，以剑桥博士、乒乓球世界冠军的身份被聘任为中国政法大学体育教学部兼职教授。
但这次兼职再度让邓亚萍饱受争议。该校民商经济法学院1408班学生徐恒发出了一封致校党委书记的公开信，质疑聘任邓亚萍决策程序。信中说：担任高校兼职教授的高层次人才一般应具有教授、研究员等正高级别的专业技术职务，并且在该学术领域内具有较高的学术造诣、一定的知名度和较为广泛的影响，而邓亚萍的求学和任职经历并不能反映上述要求。
之后，法大在其官微上回应：“我校聘请邓亚萍女士为兼职教授，是由体育教学部向学校提出申请，由人事处根据《中国政法大学兼职教授聘任规定》的条件和程序通过的该申请。邓亚萍兼职的主要工作是支持学校高水平乒乓球运动队的建设发展。学校希望通过聘请她，能为进一步提升学校乒乓球高水平运动队成绩，营造健康向上的体育文化氛围发挥积极作用。”
法大还专门声明，邓亚萍的聘期为3年，从2015年12月2日至2018年12月1日；在聘期内，邓亚萍不收取任何报酬，除完成校内讲座的任务，还需要每学年无偿指导学校高水平运动队训练两次。
近几年，离开官场的明星人物很多，包括空政文工团长韩红，丽江副市长王志和此次的人民日报副秘书长邓亚萍，他们本都是各自领域的佼佼者，演而优则仕、体而优则仕，组织上也给予了他们无数的荣誉和肯定，最终离开不免让人为之惋惜。
