　　赵鉴华大使在致辞时指出，中菲两国是隔海相望的友好邻邦，是搬不走的邻居，更是朋友、伙伴和亲戚。虽然近年来两国关系遭遇一定困难，两国间经贸关系持续发展。2015年，据中方统计，中菲双边贸易额达457亿美元，同比增长2.7%。中国已成为菲第一大进口来源地、第三大出口市场和第三大旅游来源国。2015年中国有近50万游客来菲旅游，据菲方统计，今年前4个月，来菲中国游客人数更是大幅增长88%。中菲两国间已有28对省市缔结友好关系，每天有16对直飞航班往来于中菲主要城市间。“这些丰硕的成果，突显了中菲关系的韧性，中菲友好的深厚基础以及两国务实合作的巨大潜力”。
