胡先生介绍，他平时经常使用微信，大约半个月前，一个微信名叫“芳姐”的人申请添加他为好友，当时他没有多想就通过了。成为好友后，“芳姐”也没怎么和他聊天，不过胡先生经常看到“芳姐”在朋友圈里发布一些女性逛街、购物、聚会的图片，消费档次看起来很高。端午节当天，“芳姐”突然在微信上主动找胡先生聊天，并称要介绍“富婆”给他当女朋友。胡先生一开始以为对方只是开个玩笑，过了一会儿，“芳姐”给他发来一张年轻女子的靓照。胡先生信以为真，便问如何才能见面，“芳姐”说，当天晚上就可以安排两人在海口一家宾馆见面，前提是胡先生要交400元“媒人费”。胡先生想了想，400元也不多，就答应了。根据“芳姐”发来的银行卡号，胡先生给对方转了400元。
当晚8时多，胡先生在微信上问“芳姐”见面的具体时间和地点。“芳姐”一开始说自己很忙，过一会儿又说，“毕竟是第一次见面，为了安全起见，你再交1000元押金。”听对方这么一说，胡先生才意识到自己上当了。当晚9时多，胡先生发现“芳姐”已将自己拉入了黑名单。据了解，“芳姐”微信资料中的地址为“辽宁大连”，转账的银行卡户主名为“吴长钦”。
对此，海口市公安局网络警察支队相关负责人告诉记者，网上诈骗手段不断翻新，凡是涉及微信、微博、QQ上转账汇款的聊天信息，一定不能轻信。即使是熟人通过社交软件让汇款，也一定要通过电话等其他渠道进行确认，以免上当受骗。该负责人表示，市民被骗钱财，可以向警方报案。
