据业内分析师孙昌旭透露,高通在本届台北电脑展上展示了LTE与Wi-Fi共享天线技术,可以将手机Wi-Fi信号提升1.6倍。

据介绍,目前的手机在LTE(即4G)和Wi-Fi上需各自使用两根天线来提高传输速率,这些手机4G网络中下载时使用两根天线,但在对外发送数据时只使用1根。这其中,LTE收发数据存在200毫秒的间隔,所以高通利用这个时间间隔,使得WiFi可以享用LTE的第二根天线,于是就产生了2x2的WiFi。而且LTE信号越好的地方,Wi-Fi功耗就降低得越多。

目前高通已经能够通过在基带上精确掌握时隙,将另一根天线智能切换给WiFi用,实现LTE和WiFi共享天线。当然,这一技术需要软件方面足够智能,才能不断地监测LTE的状态。
