今天上午10，微信公众号“今日益阳”发布了的事发时的监控录像。录像显示，6月13日上午6时许，一名身穿深色衣服的男子尾随一名男童上车。车起步后，男子突然从座位上起身，左手将男童扼住，右手持匕首在其身上一阵乱砍。现场能听到男童的大声呼救，乘客吓得四处躲避。司机发现后迅速将男子拉开，将其手中的匕首缴下，并保护男童下车。被救后，男童神智依然清醒，右臂、颈部右侧有大片血迹。
事后，男童被送至益阳医专附属医院救治。该院病房负责人告诉新京报记者，男童身中12刀，第一刀刺入肩胛，入刀较深，已伤及肺部;其余11刀导致头、腿、躯干部位有不同程度的砍伤。目前，男童伤口已被缝合，生命体征平稳，但仍未转出重症监护室。由于受伤部位部分血管、神经被砍断，“恢复起来十分困难，可能会留下后遗症”。
该病房负责人向记者透露，凶手50岁左右，系当地的“五保户”，长期患有哮喘等慢性疾病，曾在魏家桥卫生院住院治疗过一段时间。转入益阳市中心医院后，办理住院费用报销时，误会岳家桥卫生院未开具转诊证明导致报少了钱。男子回到岳家桥卫生院争吵，抢夺医务人员电脑。一名医务人员出面制止，将其推挡在门外，男子说该医务人员打了他，要求住院治疗。13日早晨，男子尾随该医务人员的孩子上学，将其砍伤。
14日上午，新京报(微信公号ID：bjnews_xjb)记者从益阳警方获悉，凶手已被抓获归案，案发原因尚未披露。
