6月14日，日前，国际高等教育资讯机构Quacquarelli Symonds（QS）公布了“2016年亚洲大学排名”。此次排名总计350所大学上榜，其中新加坡国立大学蝉联榜单头名，香港大学排第二，新加坡南洋理工大学位列第三。清华和北大分列第五、第九位。
据了解，今年的QS“亚洲大学排名榜”排名主要根据学术及雇主声誉、师生比例、教师发表论文引用、国际化程度、学术影响力、博士教师数量、教学品质作评分指标。
来自中国网的报道称，在前十名的榜单中，香港有四所大学列入，新加坡、韩国及中国大陆则各有两家大学进入10强，其中清华由去年的第11位升至第五。
本年的榜单中，包括港澳台在内的中国总共有124所学府进入亚洲前350。其中，中国大陆82所，香港7所，台湾34所，澳门1所。日本有74所，韩国有54所大学进入榜单。其中，日本东京大学排名第13。
82所进入亚洲350强的中国大陆院校，分布在20个省和直辖市。其中北京有22所入选，在所有省份和直辖市中最多；上海其次，共有10所；江苏9所入选。陕西6所，湖北5所，广东4所，福建、湖南、四川各有3所入选，天津、辽宁、山东、吉林、黑龙江、安徽分别有2所入选。甘肃、浙江、重庆、河南、云南也各有1所入选。
