Family Planning Commission of China: no compulsory HIV/AIDS patients receiving antiretroviral treatment

Beijing, June 15, according to China's health and family planning Commission's Web site, health family planning Commission of China General Office recently issued a notice requirement for all HIV-infected people, patients are recommended to implement anti-virus treatment, notices and demands, on HIV antiretroviral treatment should adhere to the principle of voluntary, shall not be mandatory.
National Health Office of the Commission recently issued the notice on adjusting standards of AIDS antiretroviral therapy for free. Notification requirements, recommended for all HIV-infected persons and patients throughout implementation of antiviral treatment; HIV/AIDS antiretroviral treatment should adhere to the principle of voluntary and full consultation before the treatment, excluding antiviral therapy contraindications, not force treatment in HIV-infected persons and patients.
Notice also requested that the relevant disease prevention and control institutions, HIV antiretroviral treatment of designated medical institutions to further improve HIV antiretroviral therapy management of standardization level, improve treatment compliance and therapeutic effect, reduction of viral resistance.
In 2012, the State family planning Commission of China issuing the national free HIV antiviral drug treatment manual (2012) have been raised for AIDS patients and people living with HIV free anti-viral treatment standards.
In 2014, the State health family planning Commission of China according to the World Health Organization released the new antiretroviral drug treatment and infection prevention guide, organized national health family planning AIDS clinical expert group on new standards for rationality and feasibility is demonstrated and HIV antiretroviral therapy the standard was revised, expanded the scope of treatment.
This year, the World Health Organization again revised HIV/AIDS antiretroviral therapy-related standards, and on this basis, by the State Health Commission AIDS clinical expert group study, national health family planning Commission decision on China's free AIDS antiviral treatment the standard adjustment again, further expand the scope of treatment.

中国卫生计划生育委员会：不得强制艾滋病患者接受抗病毒治疗

　　中新网6月15日电 据中国卫生计划生育委员会网站消息，中国卫生计划生育委员会办公厅日前下发通知要求，各地要对于所有艾滋病病毒感染者、患者均建议实施抗病毒治疗，通知同时要求，开展艾滋病抗病毒治疗应当坚持自愿原则，不得强制。

　　国家卫生计生委办公厅日前下发《关于调整艾滋病免费抗病毒治疗标准的通知》。通知要求，各地对于所有艾滋病病毒感染者、患者均建议实施抗病毒治疗；开展艾滋病抗病毒治疗应当坚持自愿原则，并充分做好治疗前咨询，排除抗病毒治疗禁忌证，不得强制要求艾滋病病毒感染者及患者接受治疗。

　　通知还要求，各有关疾病预防控制机构、艾滋病抗病毒治疗定点医疗机构要进一步提高艾滋病抗病毒治疗管理的规范化水平，提高治疗依从性和治疗效果，减少病毒耐药产生。

　　2012年，国家中国卫生计划生育委员会印发《国家免费艾滋病抗病毒药物治疗手册(2012年版)》，提出对于艾滋病患者及感染者实施免费抗病毒治疗的标准。

　　2014年，国家中国卫生计划生育委员会根据世界卫生组织发布了新的《使用抗逆转录病毒药物治疗和预防艾滋病感染指南》，组织组织国家卫生计生委艾滋病临床专家组对新标准合理性及可行性进行了论证，并对艾滋病抗病毒治疗标准进行了修订，扩大了治疗对象范围。

　　今年，世界卫生组织再次修订艾滋病抗病毒治疗有关标准，在此基础上，经国家卫生计生委艾滋病临床专家组研究论证，国家中国卫生计划生育委员会决定对我国艾滋病免费抗病毒治疗标准再次进行调整，进一步扩大治疗对象的范围。
