对于《魔兽》票房轻松过10亿元,业内人士并不惊讶。游戏本身已经有20多年的历史,对不少年轻人来说这部游戏像是一个成长陪伴者。但电影的成功不仅仅在于它自带的粉丝光环,还有主创人员老到的转码功力。

网易游戏高级营销总监刘国男介绍,游戏《魔兽世界》背后的世界观架构足以总结出百万字,体量比浩浩荡荡的《魔戒》三部曲还高出十几倍,但是电影却瞄准了“魔兽”系列的第一部游戏,以前传形式打开,删去了大量的情节与人物,讲述了一个相对完整简单的故事。

“游戏电影化最难的是其创作本身。换句话说就是人才问题,如何娴熟地把控游戏逻辑与电影语言,对电影人的考验是双重的。”刘国男说,中国也有一些超过8年、具有巨大粉丝基础的原创游戏IP,但是缺少像邓肯·琼斯这样的通才是挡在游戏电影化过程中的一道难题。

一位游戏产业从业者透露,不少年轻人对游戏很了解,却缺乏专业的电影知识;不少传统影视人在着手游戏改编项目后,却又因为没玩过这款游戏,而对内容产生许多疑问,甚至无从下手。

目前在中国的影游互动产业中,游戏方、影视方两头都在发力,却鲜有交集———为了打通产业链,当下游戏版权的运营者会更多地学习电影专业知识,有经验的电影人则会去研究游戏文化,真正的成熟跨界人才目前尚在孕育阶段。
