联发科前不久把大陆的子公司杰发科卖给大陆的四维图新公司，获利6亿美元，并准备成立合资公司进军车联网市场。这本质上是联发科把不太看好的业务甩锅给大陆公司，但就算是这样，这笔交易也在对岸引发了争议，不明真相的台湾群众和政府认为联发科“卖台”，会影响台湾就业，成立合资公司需要台湾严格审查才行。

去年大陆的紫光公司大肆在台湾买买买IC公司时，董事长赵伟国还对联发科隔空喊话，表示愿将旗下的展讯、瑞迪科与联发科合作，两岸携手赶超高通公司。对此联发科也做了善意回应，蔡明介表示愿意采取开放态度，携手两岸共同提升华人企业在半导体业的地位及竞争力。

虽然明眼人都看得出来联发科的回应只是客气客气（双方都说了前提是台湾政策允许），但是蔡明介这番表态还是惹祸了，有人据此认为这是准备把联发科卖给紫光。对于这个质疑，联发科董事长蔡明介日前在采访中也明确否认，表示这是个误会，他去年与紫光隔空喊话是认同两岸半导体产业要携手合作，并不是要出卖联发科，之前是因为没有机会好好解释，很多反对的学者提出“假想”联发科的立场，现在他需要对外界澄清。

至于是否开放陆资投资台湾IC产业的争议话题，蔡明介也在采访中表态——有条件开放，允许有需求的企业提出申请，然后交给政府专业、透明的审查制度把关，他强调“允许申请不等于无条件全面开放、也不等同开放陆资”。
