On June 14, the United States Congress by President Ryan, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and members of Congress met with the 14 Dalai Lama, which is contrary to the United States to recognize that Tibet is part of China and does not support "Tibet independence" pledge, violates the basic norms of international relations, is a serious interference in China's internal affairs. Now, Tibet Autonomous Region, economic prosperity, social harmony and improve people's livelihood and religious harmony, national unity, is in the best period of development in history.

14 Dalai Lama has long been engaged in activities to split the country and undermine national unity, never give up "Tibet independence" claim is not purely a religious figure but a political exile. China firmly opposes any foreign country allowed the Dalai Lama to visit, is firmly opposed to any form of State dignitaries in any meeting with the Dalai Lama strongly rejected any interference in China's internal affairs, undermine China's sovereignty and reunification of the country. Some United States members of Congress used to fuss about Tibet-related issues, ignoring the Dalai's violation of China's Constitution and laws, instead of trying to beautify, adulation, provide the stage for separatist activities, it was all in vain, will damage their image among Chinese people.

National People's Congress of China strongly urges the United States Congress members take seriously China's serious concerns and abide by the US side recognized that Tibet is part of China and does not support "Tibet independence" pledge to stop condoning and supporting anti-China separatist activities of the Dalai group, do more things conducive to the promotion of friendship between the two peoples, and do more to contribute to the maintenance of China and the United States and steady development of the relationship between things.

中国全国人大外事委员会回应美议员见达赖：严重干涉中国内政

　　新华网北京6月17日消息，中国全国人大外事委员会负责人当日就美国国会议员会见达赖发表谈话。全文如下：

　　6月14日，美国国会众议长瑞安、众议院少数党领袖佩洛西及一些国会议员会见了十四世达赖，这违背美方关于承认西藏是中国一部分、不支持“西藏独立”的承诺，违背了国际关系基本准则，是对中国内政的严重干涉。中国全国人大对此表示强烈不满和坚决反对。

　　西藏在十三世纪正式成为中国的一个行政区域，比美国独立要早500多年。1951年西藏和平解放，1959年通过民主改革废除封建农奴制、解放百万农奴，1965年实行民族区域自治制度、建立自治区。半个多世纪以来，西藏从落后的封建农奴制社会跨越发展到现代化社会，取得举世瞩目的发展成就。现在，西藏自治区经济繁荣、社会和谐、民生改善、宗教和睦、民族团结，处于历史上最好的发展时期。

　　十四世达赖长期从事分裂国家、破坏民族团结的活动，从来没有放弃“藏独”的主张，不是一个单纯的宗教人士而是政治流亡者。中方坚决反对任何外国允许达赖前往窜访，坚决反对任何国家政要以任何形式会见达赖，坚决反对任何人干涉中国内政、损害中国国家主权和统一。一些美国国会议员习惯拿涉藏问题做文章，无视达赖违反中国宪法和法律的事实，反而极力地美化、吹捧，为其分裂活动提供舞台，这完全是徒劳的，也必然自损他们在中国民众中的形象。

　　中国全国人大强烈敦促美国国会有关议员认真对待中方的严重关切，恪守美方承认西藏是中国一部分、不支持“西藏独立”的承诺，停止纵容和支持达赖集团的反华分裂活动，多做有利于增进两国人民之间友好感情的事情，多做有利于维护中国和美国关系稳定发展的事情。
