报道称，上海迪士尼乐园是全球第6座迪士尼主题乐园，最尖端的游乐设施与充满中国元素的巡游都是人们关注的焦点。上海迪士尼运营方等预计开园第一年度的客流将达到1000万人次，而日本的旅游业界却被“上海迪士尼特需”拒之门外。原因是日本的旅行社想组团也组不了。
日本大型旅行社JTB、HIS、日本旅行均未推出包含上海迪士尼行程的团队游商品。对于其中缘由，HIS解释称“因为拿不到上海迪士尼乐园的门票”。
