　　钦塔马尼在接受新华社记者采访时说，尽管中国以前为尼泊尔铸造过硬币，但印刷纸币还是第一次。此次中国印钞造币总公司一共印刷了2.1亿张面值100尼泊尔卢比(1卢比约合0.06元人民币)的新版钞票。

　　由于尼泊尔中央银行存储能力有限，这些纸币只能分批从中国运回。钦塔马尼介绍说，第一批到货的3000万张已于12日开始流通，19日将前往中国接收第二批3000万张，全部运回所有的纸币需要3至6个月。
