调查：六成以上民众支持取缔狗肉节
负责进行上述调查的机构北京零点指标信息咨询有限公司称，该调查采用概率比例规模抽样法，随机从1000个城市、500个县和500个村镇抽取2000名年龄从16岁至50岁的中国公民，以网络、电话和面对面访问的形式进行调查，样本覆盖全国，其中也包括来自广西玉林的反馈。

玉林市食品药品监督管理局副局长陈滔滔说，玉林市官方从来没有组织过狗肉节，真正的“荔枝狗肉节”是不存在的。

低价狗肉背后的黑色产业链
郑智珊提出，在讨论“吃”与“不吃”的问题前，首先值得追究的是狗肉节上的大量狗只从哪里来？有没有经过合法检疫？屠宰是否符合卫生标准？
中国肉类协会副秘书长高观在此前接受新华社记者采访时明确表示，中国并不存在“肉食用犬”这样一个养殖行业，犬肉消费在中国“微乎其微”。
北京市小动物诊疗行业协会会长刘朗指出，从畜牧兽医的角度，培养肉用犬、猫，因饲料、疫苗成本过于高昂，且存在着出栏期过长、习性无法大量圈养等因素，作为养殖业经营并不现实。
中国农业大学临床系主任夏兆飞根据2014年的物价水准估算，即使能够克服种种“不可能”，实现犬类群养，那么一斤狗肉的价格应该超过100元人民币。吊诡的是，根据相关调查，2011年至2014年，民间狗肉交易价格在每斤6.5至23元左右。
如此“低价”的狗肉从哪里来？山东大学郭鹏教授于近年发表的一份调查指出，“黑狗肉产业”北线主要在东北地区，狗只早期主要从内蒙古及东北乡村盗窃而来，后扩张至河北、山东一带，现在主要受害区是河北、山东与河南。
南线的销售区则是广东与广西，狗只主要从安徽、浙江、湖南、湖北、四川等地盗窃而来，现在也有专门从山东及河南等地向两广输送盗窃狗只的非法从业者。
据了解，执法人员多次从被截获的非法盗运猫狗的货车上搜查出各类有模有样、还盖有各类村支部等机构印章的《动物集体免疫证》《出县境动物检疫合格证明》等伪造文件。
学者称，这些事实表明，这一非法行业经过多年“发展”，已经形成盗窃、收购、运输、屠宰、返销乃至伪造文书的全国链条。
律师安翔指出，盗窃或杀害公民饲养的工作动物和伴侣动物侵犯了公民财产，自然是违法行为，而盗窃杀害流浪动物以牟取利益，也是违法的。
“来路不明”的狗肉危及健康
吃毒狗肉火锅导致中毒，或是吃了来源不明的肉食致病、丧命的新闻，近年来屡见报端。
国际爱护动物基金会曾举办“抵制黑狗肉贸易”为主题的展示活动，展出非法从业者为盗窃狗只使用的涂有氰化物或砒霜的毒镖、弓弩、剧毒药品，以及盗猫使用的脏污网、笼、捕兽夹等等，而经历密集关押和长途运输的猫狗往往疫病各半，难称健康，非法屠宰狗只的地点条件恶劣、蚊蝇滋生……
亚洲动物基金会历经四年时间对非法猫狗肉产业进行调查，并于2015年发表报告称，“所谓大量供应的肉狗，事实上是被盗抢和毒杀的家养动物和流浪动物”。从盗窃到流回市场，整个过程充满安全风险，这些回流的不合法肉制品，如被消费者食用恐对健康造成极大的危害。
安翔则表示，中国法律明确禁止来路不明的禽畜流通，并有《中华人民共和国动物防疫法》《动物检疫管理办法》、畜禽产地检疫规范等法律法规，对禽畜养殖、屠宰、运输、加工、活体或制品销售等行业进行规范。
2013年4月22日，中国农业部发出关于进一步加强犬和猫产地检疫监管工作的通知，要求调运犬、猫必须逐只按规程实施产地检疫、逐只出具检疫证明。“通知实质上禁止了犬、猫肉的生产经营。”安翔说。
