　　据韩国《中央日报》网站6月20日报道，根据白皮书内容，BDS从2012年开始被应用到中国大陆和周围部分亚太地区，它的起步不仅比美国的GPS晚了20多年，还大幅落后于俄罗斯的格洛纳斯系统。中国之所以推动自主开发卫星导航系统，是因为它与追踪位置信息以及军事、安全方面的需求存在直接关联。

　　中国将2020年定为BDS全球化的元年。目前中国共利用23台卫星运营BDS，其服务已经出口到韩国等30多个国家。BDS白皮书中写道“计划2018年，面向“一带一路”沿线及周边国家提供基本服务；2020年前后，完成35颗卫星发射组网，为全球用户提供服务”。也就是说，届时全世界的智能手机都将可以搭载BSD，将与GPS展开激烈竞争。
