  运算速度傲视全球


  据美国《华尔街日报》网站6月20日报道,无锡的一台大型机器在世界科研用途计算机一年两度的速度500强排行榜中荣登榜首。这台机器的性能是中国统治该排行榜已有3年之久的另一台设备的两倍,其运算速度大致是美国最快设备的5倍,后者现在落在第三位。


  报道称,这台新机器名叫“神威太湖之光”。这是中国在不使用美国半导体技术情况下制造出来的计算机首次夺得榜首位置。


  此前排名第一的计算机使用的是英特尔的芯片,因为去年美国的一纸出口禁令,英特尔公司无法向中国出口用于系统更新的芯片。


  报道称,能够表明中国对该领域进行重金投资的还有一个迹象,那就是中国上榜的机器数量首次超过美国,中国为167台,美国为165台。
