杭州一名物流工人近日带着自己的五项数学发现登上了浙江大学数学系的讲台,与教授和博士生们“同堂论道”,引来不少网友的关注和称赞。33岁的余建春是物流公司的一名包装工,来自河南,毕业于一所专科学校,虽然文化程度不高,但他觉得数学有趣,闲下来的时候喜欢研究数学问题。

余建春没想到的是,自己琢磨出的数学公式居然得到了大学教授的认可。“登台”当天,余建春在黑板上一口气推演了自己五个发现,从上午10点半一直到12点,余建春没有看一眼笔记或参考资料,因为“数字和公式都在脑子里”。

余建春的讲台下坐着6个人,他们是浙江大学数学系的教授、博士后和博士生。听完余建春的演示后,数学专家们认为余建春的想法“新颖”、“部分结果有一定深度”。

浙大数学系教授蔡天新说,余建春最具价值的发现是一组“卡迈克尔数”的判别准则。“卡迈克尔数”是一种伪素数(伪质数),在一亿以内的正整数中只有255个。蔡天新验证了余建春提出的公式,认为在一定范围内,余建春的发现能够以更高的效率找出更多的“卡迈克尔数”。

由于余建春的论证过程简短,无法作为严肃学术论文发表,蔡天新决定将余建春的公式收录在他最新的英文著作中。蔡天新还送给余建春一本数学书,鼓励他继续学习。

这让余建春感到十分惊喜,兴奋得一晚上没睡着。“我的所有发现凭借的都是自己的直觉,有灵感了就写上几笔,‘卡迈克尔数’这个公式的诞生经历了大约8年时间。”余建春说,他上学时的数学成绩并不好,也没有经历过专业训练,但数学是他生活中最大的乐趣。

在这期间,余建春辗转各地打工为生,每到一个城市,他就跑到当地最好的大学试图拜访数学教授,希望展示自己的数学发现。见不到面,他就把自己的演算手稿寄给数学界的“大牛”。“私下琢磨觉得自己的发现是对的,但很多时候不会验证,心里没底,就想请专家帮忙看看。”余建春说,在浙大“登台”的机会就源于今年5月他投到蔡天新邮箱中的一封手写信,这也是第一次有专家对他这样一个数学爱好者作出回应。

余建春的执着精神感动了不少网友。网友“村上果树”说,余建春能够在艰难环境中坚持对数学的热爱,脚踏实地钻研并乐在其中,令人佩服。也有不少网友为浙大师生尊重知识的气度点赞,网友“tutunino”说,“希望社会有更多温暖的目光倾注给这样的年轻人”。
