其中，CNY在北京时间15:45左右加速上涨，半小时上涨超过90个基点。而人民币对美元即期汇率在16时30分收盘于6.5807，较前一交易日小幅下跌8个基点。
从2012年开始，新加坡已经开始通过QFII(合格的境外机构投资者)和中国银行间债券市场进行投资人民币资产。
新加坡金管局在声明中称，此前没有将人民币投资纳入官方储备，是因为在资金汇回方面受到限制。而现在，对资金汇回的限制已被取消，投资于中国银行间债市的资金不再需要批准才能汇出。
过去一年，中国采取了显著措施放宽境外机构投资者进入中国的外汇和债券市场。
目前，央行境外央行类机构投资银行间债券市场实行备案制管理，可自主决定投资规模，资金可以自由汇出。

今年6月8日，财政部正式宣布在伦敦发行的30亿元人民币国债在伦敦证券交易所上市交易。
此外，尼日利亚和白俄罗斯等也宣布将人民币纳入该国央行的外汇储备。
还有更多的国家选择并不对公开。
中国人民银行行长周小川2014年9月曾公开透露，一些国家已经将人民币作为储备货币，只是尚未向外界公布，其中包括一些发达国家。
