计桥幼儿园是一所农村园，位于阜宁310省道边，120名孩子来自周围6、7个村子。园长周文彦是郭海梅的女儿。
“昨天幸好孩子们已经午休结束到班级上课，不然后果不堪设想。”郭海梅介绍，该园共3层建筑，3楼是孩子们的午休室，23日下午龙卷风袭击时，3楼屋顶被掀掉，瓦块落了一地，窗子也被大风刮落。
郭海梅说，眼见外面杂物如雨砸下，园长紧急招呼园内6位老师守护孩子。因为教室里孩子多，老师让比较机智的孩子们躲到桌子底下，吓慌的孩子则被老师拉进怀里，“生怕孩子被砸，老师还趴下来，将孩子压在自己的身底下。”
据了解，该园多位老师被纷飞的物件碰到受伤，一位29岁的杨老师因为守护孩子，身上多处受伤。老园长郭海梅也不顾危险看护孩子，致肩膀和腰部被砸伤。
“一共7个孩子受了伤，风停后，园长立即带孩子去阜宁医院，之后又陪伤势较重的孩子去盐城了。”郭海梅说。
记者在计桥幼儿园现场看到，该园除了3层楼房未倒塌，其余的几间平房和围墙都已成废墟。教室内一片狼藉，屋外场地上全是碎砖块，几棵被风刮倒的树横陈在地上。(完)
