　　选址在张家界大峡谷风景区栗树垭和吴王坡区域内的这座玻璃桥长430米、宽6米，桥面铺设了99块三层叠加而成的钢化玻璃，厚度仅0.6米，创造了世界最长、世界最高、世界首座玻璃作为主受力结构的大型桥梁等多项“世界之最”。

　　据了解，张家界大峡谷玻璃桥从立项到概念设计，再到施工完成前后共耗时九年，期间经过近百次的防冻、防爆、防震等安全试验。每块桥面玻璃至少可承载60吨的压力，而玻璃桥设计的最大游客容量仅为800人，行人载荷量可忽略不计。
