昨天上午9点20分，记者来到公交48路终点站西区汽车站。只见待发的一辆公交车内的12位乘客中，都是中青年人，没有一位老年人，而在平时，车厢内的乘客大都是白发苍苍。“我今天一早出车，到现在已经开了4圈，老年乘客明显减少，感觉比平时下降了八九成。”驾驶员庄利平告诉记者。
记者乘坐48路一路观察，从西区汽车站通往延安路普安路终点站的沿途15个车站中，仅有虹桥路站、安顺路站、香花桥站、华山路站有老人上车，且为数很少。这一趟单程，仅有5位老年乘客，他们对新规没有过多的抱怨，自觉遵守规定。在虹桥路站，一位老伯上车后先拿出一张“敬老卡”刷卡，刷卡机立即发出语音提示“不能使用”。老伯对此好像已有准备，立即从另外一个口袋里掏出交通卡刷卡付费。
