提起中国动画片,恐怕再没有一个形象比“美猴王”更深入人心。半个多世纪前,上海美术电影制片厂历时4年制作的《大闹天宫》,作为新中国第一部彩色动画长片,成为中国动画史上的丰碑。

针对目前国产动漫存在的问题,成立于1959年12月的《大闹天宫》摄制组原动画组组长严定宪与林文肖表达了自己的看法,并阐述了其设计孙悟空经典形象的心路历程。

设计孙悟空形象时,严定宪只有25岁。他回忆说,当年剧组请来中央工艺美术学院教授、著名装饰画家张光宇先生担纲造型设计。张老画了三个孙悟空造型,都相当不错,但导演万籁鸣还是觉得不太满意,理由是第一个太漫画式了、第二个倾向舞台装饰效果、第三个像山寨大王,头顶翎毛细密,不易转成动画。万籁鸣便要求时任原画组组长的严定宪在张光宇造型设计的基础上重新设计一个孙悟空。

在场嘉宾崔永元提出了自己的疑问:“现在很多年轻人在做商业片、动作片,但是如果选择做动画,成功的几率并不高。所以二老有什么话想对现在做动画的年轻孩子说呢?”

现在打开电视,为什么好的国产动画片不多?急于求成。现在很多动画公司不去组稿,手头没有好的本子,找到一个就上马,拉到篮子就是菜,也不去采风,就靠脑子想象。学日韩风格的太多,看不出中国味道。”

严定宪说,中国有太多好故事、太多富有特色的审美样式,中国动画要实现新的超越,领军人物、精彩故事、吸引人的艺术风格、生动的动画表演,四者缺一不可。有了这些,中国动画就有了根本,不愁不好看。

总而言之,“孙悟空”设计者认为,中国国产动画如果想要成功,立足中国特色文化现实,不要急于求成,在人物形象、故事方面发力,不愁中国动画不好看。
