　　新华社日内瓦6月30日电(记者聂晓阳 施建国)总部设在日内瓦的国际移民组织30日举行特别理事会，通过决议批准中国、所罗门群岛和图瓦卢的加入申请，从而使该国际组织的成员国总数增加到165个。

　　中国常驻联合国日内瓦办事处和瑞士其他国际组织代表马朝旭在30日的特别理事会上表示，中国目前正从移民来源国向移民来源国、过境国和目的国的多重角色转变。中国正式成为国际移民组织成员国，是中国深入参与全球治理、深化国际移民合作的必然选择。

　　国际移民组织成立于1951年，是国际移民领域的主要政府间国际组织。该组织的任务是协助确保有序和人道地管理移民流动，促进国际移民合作，协助寻求移民问题的可行性解决方案，并为有需要的移民提供人道主义援助。(完)
