《义务兵证》《士官证》封皮颜色为正红色，《文职人员证》《职工证》封皮颜色为暗红色。证件为本芯式，采用多项防伪技术制作，背面凹烫“中央军委政治工作部兵员和文职人员局监制”字样，内夹单页折叠式证芯。《义务兵证》证件号码统一采取“兵”冠字头加数字的编码形式，《士官证》证件号码统一采取“士”冠字头加数字的编码形式，证件编号与存留档案的《士兵登记表》唯一编号一致，新增加密二维码。《文职人员证》统一采用“文”冠字头加数字的编码形式，全军统一审核赋予唯一编号。《职工证》统一采用“职”冠字头加数字的编码形式，将全军“正式职工数据库登记号”作为证件编号。
