中国公安部通报显示，2016年欧洲杯足球赛开赛前，中国公安部提前部署各地严密侦控、严厉打击网络赌球活动。辽宁、浙江、广东、福建等地公安机关经缜密侦查，于近日实施收网行动，连续摧毁多个利用境外赌博网站组织赌球的犯罪团伙，抓获各级代理庄家等涉案人员236名，查缴、冻结赌资2800余万元。

目前，中国公安部挂牌督办的多起赌球案件正在侦办中。
