日前，中国石墨烯产业技术创新联盟在上海首发了2016全球石墨烯产业研究报告。报告称，石墨烯产业发展目前还处于初级阶段，预计到2020年，全球石墨烯才形成完整产业链，且市场规模将达1000亿元，其中中国占比达50%至80%，中国将在全球石墨烯行业中起到主导和核心作用。

在知识产权方面，到2012年，我国石墨烯论文数量超过美国，位居世界首位。2015年全球石墨烯专利数据显示，排名首位的依然是中国，之后是美国、韩国、日本。

资料显示，石墨烯是一种碳基新材料，有良好的光、电、热、力性能，在电子信息、新材料、新能源、生物医药等领域显现广阔的应用前景。
