Use of 3D printing to the patients, doctors replaced Pakistan: anything can change in the future-3D printing-IT information

Man-made and natural disasters, people living in the world is always going to encounter some unexpected event. Some just got more scared, and some will let you kill, some will make your disability. However, after entering the medical field in 3D printing, all of this will be greatly different.

Recently adopted 3D printing on another doctor to help repair in patients with physical disabilities. The patients treated with substituted BA called Sydney Anderson (Shirley Anderson), his distant 18 years ago, in 1998, he found his tongue up the deadly tumors.

In order to cure this disease, Anderson has put up all kinds of surgery and radiation treatment, he had the surgery, doctors destroy their facial structures, into Radium jaw. Doctors cut away his chest muscles to rebuild his jaw, but failed ... ... He'll never lose his chin.

After that, Anderson eating and speaking is mission impossible. Lose Chin Anderson had to use a mask to hide his true face. Speak, he can only rely on with a whiteboard for writing to communicate with people.

And he lost 80 pounds in just three months. When his health was more mellow ... ....

The pain lasted for years, and only come in 2012 when things turn for the better. He met doctor telaweisi·beierqi (Travis Bellicchi), he is a Indiana University School of dentistry and maxillofacial prosthesis specialist.

Belch Anderson, doctors began making artificial jaw. The jaw using the traditional production process – Anderson sit good, doctors spend several hours on his face cast, still breathing through a straw.

Even so hard jaw is made is not practical. Because it was so uncomfortable, so Anderson took the false jaw cannot be more than 4 hours at a time, and it is too heavy, often fall down.

Because the Chin is too impractical, that Belch doctors decide! For a new way to make the jaw!

This time he chose the silicone instead of gypsum, facial scans with a 3D scanner and 3D modeling facial model, 3D printers, finally found the artist decorated with special fuel to this fake Chin, making it more realistic. All the manufacturing process is very easy, the process did not cause additional suffering for patients.

Here are Andersen after the new image!

New Chin was comfortable to wear, and it looks even more realistic, but also much lighter and more breathable, this makes it easier for Anderson to breathe, wear them for longer. This time, Anderson received a more convenient Chin, and Belch doctors decided to use his name this way--"The Shirley Technique".

Anderson said he had not to pay attention to what you have lost, but what concerns they have. Indeed he has something a lot of people are not now, a whole new JAWS 3D printing, there is one named after his treatment.

In addition to Anderson, now this also applies to the other six patients who believe in the future it will allow more people to benefit from.

In 2014, the Peking University research team for some 12-year old little boy into the 3D printed spine; in March, Wales's research team created a 3D model of the skull to help restore damaged in a car accident looks in 2015, when Spain completes its first 3D print sternum, rib implants.

These are success stories of 3D printing technology in the medical field.

3D printing can accurately replicate the body of skin, organs, bones, even visceral. In some parts of our body when damaged, we can rely on 3D printing to replace it, do not need to tolerate incomplete self.

Perhaps one day, through this technology, we can even print your own.
