根据《每日星报》(Daily Star)报导，克罗埃西亚这名41岁的男子尤尔科维奇(Zoran Jurkovic)，当时他穿着工作服和橡胶鞋，骑着脚踏车在路上。外面当时雷雨交加，他原本打算赶快找个遮风避雨的地方要躲躲，没想到还没找到，突然间一到闪电就直接打下来;更衰的是，他就被雷击中了。
原以为闪电直接打在尤尔科维奇身上，他应该是一命呜呼了，没想到奇迹竟然发生在他的身上，电流绕过了他的心脏，从他的鸡鸡导出电流。
尤尔科维奇随后被送医急救，所幸情况稳定;负责治疗的医师表示，这情况真的不多见。尤尔科维奇能幸运存活，主要是当时他穿着厚底胶鞋，电流无法从他的脚传到地面，转而从他所戴的耳机电线流出，之后避开心脏传到皮带上的收音机，再从小弟弟导出电流。
