美国警方公布的这段视频其实是拍摄于今年4月20日午夜之后，视频中一名男子轻松打开了一辆2010年款吉普Wrangler Unlimited的车门，然后进入车内，用笔记本电脑在操作什么，不到两分钟之后，就见他驾驶这辆汽车消失在监控画面里。整个过程似乎显得非常自如，中间汽车曾经闪过灯，但并没有发出警报，很明显，黑客利用计算机绕过了汽车的权限和警报系统，顺利将车开走。

而根据外媒《华为街日报》的报道，这一案例并非个例，目前在美国，已经发现多起类似的黑客偷车案件，涉及的汽车品牌包括通用汽车和特斯拉等。而上述案件中，菲亚特克莱斯勒某高管表示，黑客可能是利用了某种“经销商工具”绕过了汽车的系统权限。而目前，官方已经针对系统漏洞进行了修改。
