MA: you don't contribute, but urged people not to donate right-Ma, Alibaba, charity-IT information

IT information news on July 9, the first global XIN public Conference was held in Hangzhou, Alibaba's Jack Ma, Chairman of the Board of Directors delivered a speech at the Conference, presented their views on public service.

Ma said the public's job is to awaken the goodness in everyone's heart, do public service needs to have a good heart, plus commercial operation, is the most efficient way to do things.

In Ma's view, you are right, you don't give reasons, but you don't give, let other people not to donate and that's wrong. Anywhere in the world any any disaster in the world today, will not change because you donate a little money, you give money, you changed because you have changed, the world may have changed. Contributions to real change is not a disaster area, but your own.

Dear Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Mrs POON, Honourable Gordon Brown, distinguished Ambassador, ladies and gentlemen, good morning! Very glad that we participate in today's XIN public Assembly, including arrived friends love to good causes.

When we decided to do the public Assembly, a lot of people say you should put the time in to make money above. I've thought about this problem, what should a person where is most of the time.

Seven years ago, Alibaba group moved from Qiantang River to the North to the South Bank of the Qiantang River, we carried out a campaign. Some of my colleagues will swim, we let some employees to swim across the Qiantang River relay race, when the last great staffs ashore when we found them full of colorful plastic bags and a wide range of residues, the day that all our employees are very shaken, didn't think we live in such an environment, but this is the water we drink.

From that day on, Alibaba, all employees thinking about a problem, if the world is not good enough, even if you have a good mean. So from that day on, we decided to Alibaba 3 per thousand per year turnover as public funds to build the city, national and world environmental protection.

We thought that would be enough, but we will soon understand the truth, public service needs money, but money is not enough, because a little difference to public welfare and charity, charity is given, while the public is involved in, is that little bit of action. Charities may give money-oriented and public needs is you spend time, passion, wisdom, and all the things that you probably can't get it out. You may not be able to do charity, but we all should be able to do public service, participate in public service.

In our view, to do public service, the charity is doing life in life's greatest blessings. When we started this project, in seven years, we find that on the public road, there are many like-minded colleagues, they have been exploring, have been working hard, has been changing lives and changing the world. We feel that our people need to have a platform, need to have an opportunity to share and exchange our experiences and perspectives.

Just as Mr Ban Ki-moon, Gordon Brown, saerman·Kehan, Yao Ming, Jet Li, as well as a lot of people here,

Public welfare and charity is different, because charities are given their own benevolence and kindness of the public to wake up more. People often ask, man's nature is good, it's human nature is evil. We believe that every penny you donate because you change, the world will change, the world will not change your money, your heart has changed. The poor of this world, you saved up this world, your not, but we can take this goodwill and kindness to everyone in the world to wake up, this is the beginner's mind every year we participate in a variety of public, this is a beginner's mind we today held the public interest.

Public welfare and charity is different. Charity appeals, public service in addition to heart and should have good, only have the capacity, we can get things done. We have been convinced that "welfare state of mind, business practices", this is the best way to do public service. Government is considering how to make things more fair, how do scientists do things more accurately, entrepreneur wants to do is how to get things done more effectively.

We began this XIN public Assembly, the real meaning is "heart", affection and passion in my heart. Ladies, I think attitude, posture, and ecology are mutually linked and together, people's mentality will influence human attitudes, and ecological attitude and influence our society.

Today's smog is not just environmental problems smog is today our social problems. Wrong, ecological problems, there is an old saying in China, the Communist, the Communist mentality, it is natural and man-made disasters, only the people's mentality, and natural and man-made disasters, we will overcome.

Against natural and man-made disasters, we need to solve. I think that mentality is Taoism thinking and today everyone needs faith, is gratitude, AWE and sincere. IT资讯讯 7月9日消息，首届全球XIN公益大会在杭州举行，阿里巴巴董事局主席马云在大会上发表了演讲，阐述了自己对公益的看法。

马云表示，公益的职责是唤醒每个人心中的善良，做公益需要有一颗公益的心，再加上商业运作手段，才是做事情的最高效方法。

在马云看来，你捐是对的，你不捐也有理由，但是你自己不捐，让别人不捐那是不对的。今天世界任何地方任何世界任何灾区，不会因为你捐出去的一点点钱而发生变化，你捐了钱，你自己发生了变化；因为你发生了变化，世界才有可能发生了变化。捐款真正发生变化的不是灾区，而是你自己。

以下为马云演讲实录

尊敬的潘基文秘书长，潘夫人，尊敬的戈登·布朗，尊敬的刘大使，各位来宾早上好！非常高兴大家参加今天的XIN公益大会，包括没有来到现场的把爱心要给公益事业的朋友。

在我们决定要办这个公益大会的时候，很多人说你们应该把时间放在赚钱上面。我也想过这个问题，一个人到底应该把时间放在哪里才是最对的。

七年以前阿里巴巴集团从钱塘江北面搬到钱塘江南岸，我们搞了一个活动。有些同事会游泳，我们就让一些员工游过钱塘江搞接力赛，当最后一棒员工上岸的时候，我们发现他们身上挂满了五颜六色的塑料袋及各种各样的残渣，我们所有员工那一天非常震动，没有想到我们生活在这样的环境里面，没想到这就是我们在喝的水。

从那一天起，阿里巴巴所有员工在思考一个问题，如果世界不够好，你即使过得再好都没有意义。所以从那一天起，我们决定阿里巴巴把每年千分之三的营业额作为公益基金来建设整个城市、国家和世界的环境保护。

我们以为那样做就已经足够了，但是我们很快又明白一个道理，公益需要钱，但是光有钱是远远不够的，因为公益和慈善还是有点差异，慈善在于给予，而公益是在于参与，是在于点点滴滴的行动。慈善可能以给钱为主，而公益需要你花出的是时间、激情、智慧以及所有你可能拿不出来的东西。你未必有能力去做慈善，但是我们每个人都应该可以去做公益，参与公益。

我们认为，做公益、做慈善都是做人生一辈子中最大的一种福报。我们在启动这个项目的时候，七年以来，我们发现在公益的路上，有很多志同道合的同仁，他们一直在探求、一直在努力、一直在改变着生活、改变着我们这个世界。所以我们觉得我们这一批人需要有一个平台、需要有一个机会来分享、交流我们的经验和看法。

就像潘基文先生、戈登·布朗、萨尔曼·可汗、姚明、李连杰以及在座很多人，

他们之所以受到尊重，因为他们在世界上做了除了自己以外的事情，付出了时间和真心。公益和慈善的不同，因为慈善是给出自己的善心，而公益在于唤醒更多的善心。慈善是个人的，而公益却是以群体行动为主，公益应该是Public，慈善是个人行为，是善心，背后捐了多少，是个人隐私，把慈善做得太Public，可能味道会变样，但是把公益做得太private，又缺乏影响力。公益不是花了多少钱，公益是看你唤醒了多少爱心。

人们经常在问，人之初性本善，还是人之初性本恶。我一直觉得，从太极哲学来讲，人刚出生的时候，50%的善和50%的恶是合在一起的，是教育、是文化、是信仰把我们的善意堆积了起来，善意超过了恶。但是由于世界上各种各样的原因，往往恶的东西、坏的东西会偶尔淹没我们的善良。所以，我们需要擦洗我们自己的良心、擦洗我们自己的善心——而唤醒擦洗我们自己善心最好的方法，就是参与点点滴滴公益的行动。

公益的职责就是真正去唤醒每个人内心的闪亮。我记得日本地震那一年，中国云南也发生了地震，我们公司决定捐款给日本三百万人民币，给中国云南一百万人民币。原因是什么，因为日本可能受的灾难更大一点，当时我们公司内部有了巨大的辩论和争论，第一为什么要给日本捐款，为什么给日本捐的比中国多，所以公司内网争论非常之凶。

我的看法，我跟同事们讲，你捐是对的，你不捐也有理由，但是你自己不捐，让别人不捐那是不对的。今天世界任何地方任何世界任何灾区，不会因为你捐出去的一点点钱而发生变化，你捐了钱，你自己发生了变化；因为你发生了变化，世界才有可能发生了变化。捐款真正发生变化的不是灾区，而是你自己。

所以我们相信，你捐出去的每一分钱，因为你改变了，世界就会改变，世界不会因为你的钱发生改变，是你的内心发生了变化。这世界的穷，你救不完，这世界的病，你治不光，但是我们可以把这个世界上每个人的善意和善心给唤醒，这就是我们到处每年参加各种公益的初心，这也是我们今天举办这个公益的初心。

公益和慈善不同。慈善需要善心，公益除了善心，更要有善能，只有有能力，我们才能把事情做好。我们一直坚信“公益的心态、商业的手法”，这是做公益最好的办法。政府考虑的是如何把事情做得更为公平，科学家做事情是如何把事情做得更为准确，而企业家希望做的是如何把事情做得更加有效。

今天的公益，政府、专家、企业家都应该加入进来，因为这些能力合在一起就是巨大的善能。善能，就是我们应该一起来努力、一起组织起来，真正做到有结果、有效率。

我们办这个XIN公益大会，真正的含义是“心”，亲情加上心里面的激情。各位，我认为心态、姿态和生态，是互为联动、合在一起的，人的心态的好坏会影响人的姿态的好坏，而姿态的好坏又影响我们这个社会的生态。

今天的雾霾其实不仅仅是环境的问题，今天的雾霾是我们这个社会心态的问题。心态出了问题，生态自然会出问题，中国有句古话，人定胜天，人定胜天的定是心态的定，天是天灾人祸，只有人的心态定了，天灾人祸，我们一定能够战胜。

所以战胜天灾人祸，需要我们从心态上去解决。我认为，心态就是儒释道思想，也是我们今天每个人需要的信仰，就是感恩、敬畏和真心。我们对昨天的一切充满着感恩之情，我们对于明天充满敬畏，我们对于今天充满珍惜。只有改变，从每个个人开始，我相信我们的社会才会更好，从每个人改起，参与每个人点滴的行动，世界才会变得更加美好。
