同时，南航方面称，“民航机务专家介绍，空客A320的驾驶舱风挡玻璃是采用破损-安全结构原理的多层结构设计，具有高度的耐冲击性和可靠性。其主要结构是由内外两层无机玻璃和中间层的乙烯树脂有机玻璃叠压而成。外层无机玻璃可保护中间层避免擦伤并构成完整的气动外形，内层直接承受客舱增压载荷，中间层为破损-安全结构，可在承受诸如飞鸟、冰雹等外来物的冲击下仍保证内部内层玻璃完整，使得飞机的结构气密性和飞行安全得到保证。”
