台湾国际法学会今天（14日）在台北举行座谈会，质疑所谓南海仲裁结果的公正性。台湾地区前领导人马英九用大量事实据理力争，证明太平岛是岛不是礁。
大量事实证明太平岛是岛不是礁
台湾国际法学会专家学者首先从专业的角度，认为仲裁程序不符合正当法律程序，没有法律约束力。
针对仲裁结果认为太平岛不是岛而是礁，台湾国际法学会前理事长、同时也是台湾地区前领导人的马英九，列举了大量事实，一一予以回击。
台湾地区前领导人 马英九：到底是一个岛屿？还是一个岩礁？仲裁法庭它定了三个标准：第一个就是客观的承载能力，关键就是淡水。在整个南沙的岛礁里面，太平岛是唯一有淡水，而且它淡水的品质好到不行。
现场拿出自己1月份登太平岛时带回的水，马英九一再表示，得益于珊瑚礁的独特生态，太平岛水质良好，不仅可以供人洗涤烹饪，更可以直接饮用。而针对菲律宾官员提出太平岛上水源在四、五月容易枯竭一说，马英九证明岛内淡水丰沛，菲方说法完全是无稽之谈。

判断是岛还是礁，仲裁庭另外两个所谓考量标准：一是“要能维持稳定的社群”，二是“不依赖外来资源”。马英九说，太平岛长期有人居住生活，有水果蔬菜，养鸡养羊都没有问题。有需要的时候还可以实施紧急救援。

马英九：两岸民间合作 维护主权
维护民族主权，两岸是否有合作空间？马英九表示，民间合作方案值得讨论，两岸学术机构相互交流研究成果，将会发挥很大作用。
座谈会吸引大批媒体，可见岛内对这一事件高度关注。马英九表示，支持台当局不接受所谓仲裁结果的立场，并且强调，这样不公正、不客观的裁决，不但不能解决问题，反而增加了地区形势的紧张。
