34岁的张雨已经在尼斯生活了15年，他爱这座美好的城市，每年都来参加国庆日的庆典。
在散步大道上，张雨一边走着，一边和女友回味刚才的表演。10点28分左右，张雨抬头看见大道上迎面20米左右的距离，开来一辆白色的重型卡车。这种卡车在尼斯并不少见，多用于运货。
张雨心里纳闷，按正常情况，这里禁止车辆行驶。但当车辆路过路边的警车，警察没有任何反应，张雨便以为是正常情况，可能卡车开进来装乐队的乐器。
卡车渐渐接近人群，突然开始加速。距离卡车只有10米左右时，张雨迅速拉着女友横向往沙滩的方向躲开。

二、死里逃生 踩着尸体往外跑
担心卡车之后还跟着其他恐怖分子，张雨拉着女友跳到散步大道旁的海滩上，继续往回奔。
此时，人们也疯狂地向沙滩上逃难，100多人跳进海里躲避恐怖袭击。
而在散步大道上，卡车开过之处，人们成片地倒在地上，逃生者踩着尸体往外跑。
张雨跑到了内格斯哥酒店附近，这里聚集的人稍微少了些。卡车仍像一头发疯的巨兽冲向人最多的地方。
张雨记得，大概5分钟之后，车开到了赌场的位置，枪声响起。警察终于开始行动了。
从开始撞人，到被警方逼停，大概过了10分钟，卡车在散步大道上行驶了2公里。
有目击者记录下了袭击现场。视频显示，卡车向人群行驶，旁边跟着一辆摩托车，看上去想要截停卡车，但无能为力，还有两个疑似安保人员男子追逐着卡车跑。卡车行驶数十米到人群聚集处后，突然加速冲入人群人群。
张雨告诉搜狐《新闻当事人》，在这段视频中的场景发生之前，卡车已经撞了不少人。“卡车专找人多的地方开，整个过程是以S型的路线向前走的。”
据警方透露，卡车在2公里的行驶过程中至少改变了1次路线，这清楚地表明卡车司机力求造成最大程度的伤亡。
卡车还在散步大道上横冲直撞，张雨带着女友一路奔回家。
林志没有看到卡车。他随着人群一路奔跑，过了一会儿，他发现女友和弟弟都走散了。他想回去找，却只能被人流推着继续向前。
他到达广场附近的路口，和一些人躲进了路边的小店里。他想从店里出去找女友和弟弟，却被店老板拦住。
林志用手机联系上了女友，她已经跑回了家，但弟弟却没有任何音讯。
在店里躲了一会儿，见外面的动静少了些，林志决定回家。到家后，弟弟还没有回来，全家人开始着急了，赶紧出门找。林志没有特别担心弟弟，他没有听到枪声，知道没有后续的暴乱袭击。
没过多久，他接到家里人打来的电话，警察送弟弟回家了。

三、事后问责 为何警方反应这么慢？
卡车司机Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel当晚被警方击毙，但远远难以弥补尼斯的伤痛。
袭击者31岁，是突尼斯裔法国人。在其租用的19吨重型卡车里，警方找到大量枪支和弹药。警方通报称，根据初步消息显示，恐袭者没有出现在任何恐怖分子的名单中，目前也没有任何组织宣称对该起袭击负责。
尽管警方事后迅速展开调查，但张雨对恐怖袭击发生之前的反应极为不满。
他告诉搜狐《新闻当事人》：“刚开始时，警方没有作出任何反应，没有警笛、鸣枪。每个路口都有警车，但不知当时为何警察没有反应过来。”
直到卡车撞到人了，而且是5分钟之后，警察才作出反应，但为时已晚。
张雨说，尼斯当地不少人对警方迟钝的反应感到愤怒，“为什么卡车走了这么远，警察都没有反应过来？哪怕响个警笛，人们听到了也会有防备。”
根据媒体报道，卡车司机开车撞人之前，曾声称自己送冰激凌至尼斯海滨散步大道。但对于这个说法，张雨更为不满，散步大道上每年都禁止车辆通行，允许车辆通行是警方的失责。
也有媒体报道警方在逼停、击毙恐袭者的英勇。据BBC报道，法国一位国民议会成员讲述，有一位女警跳上袭击者所驾驶的卡车，试图阻止他。
不过，就在一周前，法国议会在巴黎恐袭后成立的评估委员会发布了历经6个月的调查，认为由于情报系统完全“不给力”，去年造成147人丧生于恐怖分子针对法国的攻击，包括《查理周刊》办公室、一个犹太杂货店以及11月发生在巴黎郊外体育场、音乐厅多处的连环恐袭。
委员会认为，法国发生的恐袭案件中，许多袭击者先前都在法国情报机构监控名单上，但由于监控不力、各情报部门通气不畅，致使他们有机会作案。
