据新加坡《联合早报》网站7月13日报道，央视新闻近日曝光了广东省一家参与论文造假与买卖的公司。这家名为广州名匠文化传播有限公司中山分公司（广州名匠）12日已遭到中山市公安局的搜查，该公司客户资料、写手资料等文件也被扣押。
据央视新闻报道，社会上存在许多类似像广州名匠等规模和产能比较小的公司，而一些规模较大的论文造假公司的业务范围正在迅速扩张。广州名匠的郑姓经理指出，公司的经营范围包括代写、代发，以及写发全包，而业务主要的两大支柱分别为职称论文以及学位论文。
他称，每篇论文都有明确的价码，一篇职称论文要代写保发，只需要1000多元（人民币，下同），而学位论文则要贵一些。博士论文大概一篇5万元至6万元，硕士论文则是5000元到1万元左右，难度较大的例如医学类的论文则更贵。
报道称，虽然一篇论文的价格不菲，不过业务颇为火爆，一天能获得十几件订单，仅是今年1月份，公司已完成了近1395件订单。下单购买论文的客户中不乏一些高校的在读博士生，而他们对所购买论文的质量感到很满意。
据了解，写手一般只需要一天的时间就可以交出一篇5000字的职称论文，而他们的做法是去抄袭另一篇论文。

英 国《自然》周刊在2010年指出了对中国科研论文日益严重的担忧。该周刊称，中国政府的一项调查显示，在6所知名研究机构的6000多名科研人员中，有三 分之一的人承认剽窃、伪造或编造学术文章。调查的详细内容没有公开发表，因此难以将中国的调查结果与西方的调查进行比较。西方的调查也发现，三分之一的科 学家承认有过最广义的不诚实行为，但只有很小比例的人（平均2%）承认曾经伪造或编造研究成果。
