Classcraft是一款辅助教育的线上RPG（角色扮演游戏）系统，而且是免费的，这套系统藉由传统RPG游戏的惯例，让师生间可以进行现实中的互动，学生可以获得经验值、升级、组织队伍。
平均一小时的课程，在游戏管理上只会花费5分钟左右的时间，管理方式很简单，让学生重新提振上课精神的效果，比传统的讲笑话更赞，当然其他时间就用来进行正常的教学，这时游戏就只会在背景执行。
老师的角色是NPC，负责引导游戏规则与分配经验值。学生们在注册登入后可以创角，选择职业，每一种职业都有专属的技能，另外还能在游戏中养宠物。
通过回答NPC问题可获得经验值，发作技能则需要花费AP，AP通过升级（每升一级增加1点）或解任务获得，任务内容由NPC（老师）决定，例如取得好成绩或帮助队友，Classcraft中的AP对学生来说不仅只是虚拟的点数，它意义非凡，因为在Classcraft发动的职业技能，效果都是真实的。

若发生成绩太糟或迟到、闯祸等事件，NPC有权力扣除玩家HP，HP归零的话就会死亡，必须通过留校察看、罚写等方式复活。此外，既然是RPG，当然也有突发事件，例如：巨龙出现，攻击全体玩家（扣HP20点）！这时NPC必须遵守指示，带领玩家解决事件，突破关卡。
目前这套系统已在加拿大25所学校试行，成效相当不错，现在也有繁体中文版可以下载使用了！
