新京报快讯（记者赵毅波）中纪委昨晚在官网发布消息称，经河北省委批准，河北省人大财经委副主任委员、河钢集团原董事长王义芳涉嫌严重违纪，目前正在接受组织调查。
公开信息显示，王义芳生于1958年，从20世纪80年代起一直在河北钢铁行业工作，曾任邯钢集团总经理、唐钢集团总经理河钢集团董事长、总经理等职，直至2013年。
在王义芳任职期间，河北钢铁行业开始实施大规模整合，促成了唐钢集团、邯钢集团合并成立河北钢铁集团，规模超过宝钢等央企和沙钢等民营钢企巨头，名列世界第二大钢企和中国最大钢企，王义芳因此名动一时。
2013年12月起，王义芳离开河钢集团，调任河北省人大财经委担任副主任委员。
