“幸运”的求职者
2016年2月，睢宁县某网站出现一条招聘信息,一家名为“苏州合心源服饰有限公司”的企业招聘人事、总经理助理等职位，月薪5000元至8000元。优厚的待遇吸引了不少人关注，短短几天，陆续有100多名求职者报名。
大学刚毕业的小敏在网站上看到这条招聘信息，在网上投了简历，并尝试联系对方。接电话的男子自称“刘总”，口气很热情，并说自己老家也是睢宁的，过两天会带个副总过来统一安排面试。
为给“未来的老板”留下好印象，小敏赶紧给“刘总”发了条信息“到睢宁有需要帮忙的，联系我”。“刘总”对小敏的表现很满意，当即在电话里许诺让小敏做公司的总经理助理。
2月23日上午，“刘总”称已到睢宁，约小敏在某咖啡店见面。陪同“刘总”的还有一个自称“彭总”的男子。两位“老总”让小敏负责一些招聘前期工作，如找酒店做面试笔试地点，寻找合适的办公楼等。经小敏介绍，“刘总”最终选定一家高档酒店作为面试和笔试地点。晚饭后，“刘总”让小敏根据招聘网上的报名信息，电话通知应聘者参加面试。
“老总”考场“玩失踪”
2月24日上午，20多人参加了第一天的面试，“刘总”从中挑选了三个年轻的女孩，协助小敏进行面试工作。面试时，“刘总”当面拨打了每一位应聘者的电话。“应聘信息中登记了应聘者的手机号码，为什么还要当面拨打呢？”小敏对此表示不解。“这是为了确认面试者是不是应聘者本人。”“刘总”这样解释。

2月29日下午，笔试正式开始。考试前，“刘总”和“彭总”以防作弊为由，要求所有笔试人员统一上交手机，并要求写下开机密码，以便考试结束后凭密码各自领回手机。
按照“刘总”的要求，小敏将所有应试人员的手机都放在一个收纳盒内，并在每个手机上贴上开机密码。小敏和另一女孩负责监考，但“为了严格考场纪律”，二人的手机同样被要求上交。
“刘总”开始还在考场巡视，十几分钟后，“刘总”匆匆走出考场。“考生”们谁也没在意，仍在紧张答题。二十分钟后，一个考生提前交卷。出门却发现那个装着手机的收纳盒不见了！拨打“刘总”电话，已经关机。小敏赶紧带着众人赶到“刘总”所在宾馆的房间，发现行李都不见了。小敏等人这才意识被骗。后经警方统计，被骗手机36部，价值共计3.78万元。
报名表上的“隐语”
“刘总”真名张万成，系睢宁县高作镇人，曾做过服装生意，开过工厂，对招聘程序比较熟悉。2015年，在常熟做生意的他因经营不善，欠下不少外债。情急之下，他想到回老家睢宁以招聘的名义骗取钱财。为使“招聘”更加有板有眼，他找来朋友方志永帮忙，二人一拍即合。按照行骗计划，张万成负责在网上发布虚假招聘信息，方志永负责外场安排、酒店面试等。
2月23日，两人来到睢宁，摇身一变，以“刘总”和“彭总”的身份联系到了第一位应聘者小敏，一切都按计划进行。而面试中张万成之所以要当面拨打求职者的手机，实际上是在确认手机的档次，并在报名表上注明ABC标识，这是二人之前商定好的“隐语”：A代表手机档次高，B代表手机一般，C代表手机差。标上A的应聘者均被通知参加笔试。
作案后，两人迅速乘车逃离睢宁。3月24日，张万成、方志永分别在常熟市和常州市被抓获，现场扣押手机12部。据二人供述，除部分手机因档次不高被扔掉外，其余手机均被他们以200元至500元不等的价格卖给了手机店。
