“红色通缉令”头号嫌犯杨秀珠放弃美国“庇护”申请 欲回中国

　　中新网7月23日电  据美国世界日报报道，中国“红色通缉令”头号嫌犯杨秀珠的“庇护”案出现重大转折：外逃12年、现被移送美国移民及海关执法局(ICE)德州休斯敦移民监狱的杨秀珠当地时间20日正式确认自动放弃自己在美国的“庇护”申请，回到中国寻求更好医疗条件，也就自己真实情况向中国方面做说明。代表她的柯自明律师楼21日透露，如果该案撤销进展顺利，预计杨秀珠最快能于8月离美。

　　“她这几天平均每天给我打三、四个电话，反复问"我什么时候可以回去"，柯自明律师表示，20日与杨秀珠最终确认放弃申请的时候，杨秀珠和之前最大的变化就是，想要回到中国的意愿尤其强烈。主要是70岁的她健康每况愈下，而其美国的在押监狱已经无法她的医疗需求，再加上案件审理一拖再拖，她的身体等不起；另外一个重要原因则是她十多年流亡海外，长期与家人分隔两地，岁数越大、越有一颗“叶落归根”的心。

　　柯自明律师指，早前杨秀珠一直被关押在ICE设于新州哈德逊郡惩教所内的移民拘押所，极力争取更好的医疗条件、甚至保外就医，但都未果。在求助社工团体并欲状告该监狱后，监狱于7月初突然把杨秀珠转到了休斯敦的移民监狱，“说是那里的条件好，但事实并非如此，她的鞋子破了都不能为她换双新的，说监狱没有她的小号码鞋，我在去跟她碰面时还专门买了新鞋给她”。

　　对美国监狱的医疗条件丧失信心的同时，杨秀珠的“庇护”申请案也一直被延期，去年10月最后一次开庭审理之后，再开庭的日期从11月推到今年1月、再到5月、再到10月，八个月法庭都还无法判决，因此杨秀珠自己单方面做出了放弃“庇护”申请的决定。

　　柯自明律师表示，在杨秀珠最终确认放弃后，律师楼马上就向联邦移民法庭和政府律师递交了放弃“庇护”申请的相关文件，接下来要等待移民法庭批准，杨秀珠便可出狱回国。通常移民法庭需要一至四周的时间处理关案申请，所以如果进展顺利，杨秀珠下月即可订机票回到中国。
