犯罪集团通过快递方式，曾经将非法枪支卖往山西、吉林、辽宁、黑龙江、山东、陕西、河北、河南、福建、云南、内蒙古、海南、贵州、浙江、广东、江苏、江西、新疆、天津等19省96市，严重危害当地社会安全。
在中国公安部统一指挥下，目前该案已抓获的33名违法犯罪嫌疑人中，16人已被依法刑事拘留，17人被依法治安拘留。
此外，警方还在黑龙江宜春市打掉私藏非法枪支窝点1个，缴获枪支32支、枪支配件350套、钢珠弹5000余枚。
目前，山西省公安机关正在抽调精干警力继续深挖犯罪，力争尽快全面摧毁这一买卖枪支弹药的犯罪网络体系，以彻底消除由此造成的治安隐患，有力维护人民群众的生命财产安全。
